What happens if you get six points
I have been covered on my own insurance since I passed my test and only cancelled thinking I was insured under partners policy. I am now fully insured but waiting for my court date. Is there anything I can do I have held my licence for 1 year 4 months. Please help. Hi andy thanks for your reply I read the letter again they said if I plead guilty they will ignore the not providing details but in that case I would get 6 points but would I still lose my licence as I have been passed for 2 years now.
Hello andy just a quick question I passed my driving test 20 years ago and lost my driving license due to drink driving and went on a medical I dont think I even had my license 2 years so I was on probation period. The two-year probation period only applies once. As you lost your licence and retook your tests, this rule no longer applies. You would now need 12 points to be disqualified.

If your husband had his licence for less than two years and received six points, his licence would be revoked. He would need to apply for a new licence and pass both tests again in order to drive. So I guess his licence will be revoked. But at what point must he stop using his car?

Your licence can only be revoked once. I was convicted with DD40 in April and was disqualified for one year and half, and it expired in In April 4 years period , it expired on my driving record.
