Why does wp admin redirect

I copied the database and all the files, created a new database and imported the old one. I then changed the wp-config file.

What am I missing about this transition? How do I get the site to respond to the dev url correctly? If this is a single WordPress install, there are a couple database entries with your old domain. Greetigs Chris. None of these options worked for me… Turns out to be a hosting issue. Called Network Solutions and they said that because my database was over mb I needed to upgrade my database because after mb they lock you out….

Divi Builder plugin was the culprit. Disabling it resolved the issue. Then I uninstalled and reinstalled it. And no, I did not try to log in with the wrong password. I tested using a wrong password and the site would respond accordingly by saying it is wrong, but when using the correct password, it would just be in the login loop.

Was checking a similar issue.. When entering the credentials on wp-admin page it redirected to homepage. Changed htaccess to default, checked wp folder permissions.. Found it was a corrupt database.
